| There are several options for framing miniature art. Some people like to hang their miniature art on the wall in large sized frames. There are several ready made small frame sizes available, though, that would work well in most instances.
A miniature artwork in a smaller sized frame would look good displayed in a grouping on a wall or on a shelf or desk by itself. If you want a frame that is actually as miniature as the piece of art you are framing, you might consider miniature doll house picture frames. Some of these small frames are really exquisite and would look lovely displayed on a small easel on a desk or curio shelf. You can look at and order doll house frames from dollhouseminiatures.com.
What ever frame you choose, I would advise having a mat specially cut to fit the piece and the frame. A mat will keep the artwork away from the glass of the picture frame so that it will be less likely to pick up any moisture condensation that could form on the glass. Consider colors for your mat, too. Pale yellows, greens, and dark blue go especially well with graphite.
