Illustrations from "Jack-in-the-Pulpit"

In this lesson, I show you how to draw this unique wildflower in graphite (pencil) using my layered drawing technique. The layers are Line, Fill, Shape, Contour and Detail. The Contour Layer is split into two steps making a total of six layers. Each step is fully illustrated. I've included many detail close-ups and I've thoroughly explained how to create each part of the wild flower in each step.

"Jack-in-the-Pulpit" is a 18 page PDF document. It includes a 3 page introduction that explains this drawing technique, a tool list, a line drawing, a printable gray scale and an enlarged finished drawing for you to refer to as you work.

The lesson is 12 pages long and includes 26 illustrations.
