Strathmore Regular Surface Drawing Paper

I like this paper very much. It’s off-white, as you can see, and the texture is a little rough. It makes a good quick sketching paper because of that roughness. You can’t get bogged down with too many little details when the paper you’re using won’t let you draw them! That makes it easier to concentrate on overall shape, form and value. This paper erases really well, too, and that allows you to pull out nicely shaped highlights. You can see where I did that along the top of the ridges.

When I want to draw, I like to have lots of different paper surfaces to choose from to suit my mood!
