In the winter time, I spend an awful lot of time sitting at my computer and gazing out the window beside it. I’ve set up some bird feeders and they’re busy all day long. Sometimes, the birds seem to be the only sign of life and color out there. The ice is still here and it’s cold.
If I were an extremely organized type of artist, I’d get a lot of work done in the winter, but I don’t! I seem to slow down instead. I think that art has seasons, too, and I need to have another cup of hot cocoa and wait for the season to change.
