Vector Line Drawing

I’ve been working in vector drawing programs lately and what’s so neat about them is that the lines have “handles,” and pulling a handle shapes a line into gorgeous curves and angles. It feels a lot like bending a wire, or drawing in three dimensions.

The lines divide the working window into shapes that shift from positive to negative space in the blink of the eye, depending on what I focus on.

I see patterns in these shifting shapes that remind me of concepts that have been on my mind or buried there, and that’s a big reward for me. I love dipping deep into my mind and finding what lives there.
