I’m trying to balance the time I spend on the computer creating my digital drawings with the time I spend working on my traditional pencil and paper pieces. So far, I’m not doing a very good job of it. I always wrestle with the feeling abandonment when it comes to my art. I feel as though I’m abandoning one piece of art when I give my attention to the another. The “abandoned” creative child tugs at my heartstrings and looks at me with sad eyes that ask … don’t you love me anymore? I wonder if people find it strange that I have child/parent relationships with my art. I suspect they do. I have to love them all, each and every one, like children, though, or I can’t create them. That’s just how my creative energy works. I wonder if a parenting class would help me learn to manage my “kids” better? :)
