Line drawing is so soothing! I love to move the pencil across the paper, tilting it to add weight to the line or laying the pencil on its side to make a textured mark.
When I line draw, I consider each line before I make it. I look at the subject and try to understand the best possible way to express what I see. I liberally apply my artistic license making sure the lines have rhythm and grace while attending to the spaces between, too. In that way, the line drawing becomes one with the space it is drawn upon.
